Questions
Every question, answered straight.
Including the ones where the honest answer is that the question does not apply here — which, for a tool that never connects to your Amazon account, is most of the usual list.
Connecting to Amazon
What Amazon permissions does AMZ Verdict need?
None. There is no connection to Amazon of any kind — no Seller Partner API, no Advertising API, no OAuth grant, no tokens and no permissions to review. The tool reads Amazon’s published fee tables, not your account.
Does it change anything in my Amazon account?
It cannot. It has no access to your account, so it cannot read a listing, alter a price or touch a setting. There is nothing to revoke later.
How long does onboarding take?
There is no onboarding. Choose a marketplace and a category, type a price and a cost, and the verdict is on screen. No sign-up is required to use the free tools, and the free tier needs only an email address.
Does it work with Seller Central and Vendor Central?
Both, and that is unusual. Every product is judged twice — once as a 3P seller FBA business and once as a 1P vendor — because the same product can be viable in one channel and not the other.
How often is the data refreshed?
Once a year, effective 1 February, and deliberately so. The dataset current on the day you buy is frozen at that version and stays yours, so a figure you relied on last month cannot change under you.
How much of my sales history does it import?
None, because it does not read your account. It is built to answer before there is any history to import — which is exactly when the decision is made.
Coverage
Which Amazon marketplaces are supported?
All 11: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Sweden and Poland. Six are fully calibrated; the other five are fee-complete, and the tool states that next to the verdict rather than in a footnote.
Which product categories are covered?
Every category Amazon publishes a referral rate for — 52 in Germany, 31 in the United States, with the list differing by marketplace because Amazon’s own taxonomy differs. Categories are never merged or invented.
Where do the fees come from?
Amazon’s own published sources: Seller Central’s referral, fulfilment, storage and returns pages for the United States, and the European FBA rate card. Every table carries its source, the date it was verified and a declared confidence rating.
Does it handle VAT and import duty?
Yes. VAT rates per marketplace and category, including the supplement splits some countries publish separately, and duty defaults by origin. Contribution is always calculated on the VAT-exclusive price, while the thresholds Amazon tests on the VAT-inclusive price use that instead.
Buying and licensing
Is this a subscription?
No. It is a perpetual licence, bought once, from $79. There is no monthly charge, no per-seat pricing and nothing that scales with your sales volume.
What happens if I stop paying?
Nothing stops. There is nothing recurring to stop paying. The version you bought keeps working exactly as it did on the day you bought it.
What does renewal buy?
Renewal is optional, costs 40% of the list price, and buys the following year’s fee tables and that year’s features. It never removes or downgrades the version you already own. If you skip several years, one renewal brings you back to the current year.
Is there a free trial?
There is no trial, because there is no clock. The free tier is the whole product — full profit and loss statement, all seven checks and the verdict — on 3 saved products in one marketplace, with no card.
How many devices does one licence cover?
Three activations, and an activation can be released and moved to another machine.
Who handles payment and invoicing?
Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record, so VAT and invoicing are handled correctly wherever you are.
Data and privacy
Where is my data stored?
In your browser, and nowhere else. Saved products, costs and margins never leave the device. There is no server holding them, which is also why clearing your browser data deletes them irreversibly.
Do you see the products I run?
No. The calculation happens entirely in your browser, so there is nothing to send and nowhere to send it. That is also why the tool keeps working with no connection at all.
Can it be used offline?
Yes. Once loaded it installs as an app and works with no network, which is genuinely useful at a trade fair or on a supplier’s site.
Can an AI assistant use it for me?
Yes, and it is designed for that. Because there is no login, a whole product can be described in a single URL, so an assistant can run a verdict and hand back the reasoning rather than inventing a fee estimate.
The verdict itself
Will it tell me how much I will earn?
No, and it never will. It reports the mechanism — which check fails, because of what, and what would change it — rather than predicting an outcome. Nobody can honestly forecast a product’s earnings, and a tool that claims to is worth less, not more.
What if a cost cannot be priced?
Then the product does not get a clearance. An unpriceable line produces “Don’t — not priceable” rather than quietly passing, because a missing number must never be treated as a good number.
What is a price dead zone?
A band where raising your price leaves you with less money, because crossing a referral cliff applies the higher rate to the whole price rather than to the part above the threshold. The tool finds these and names the nearest clear price.
What if I disagree with an assumption?
Change it. Every assumed input is pre-filled, visibly labelled as assumed, and editable — including exchange rates, where the published rate stays visible beside whatever you substitute.
Still deciding?
The fastest answer is to run one of your own products through it. It costs nothing and takes about a minute.
